According to ABCNews,

Burleigh went fishing in the Twin Lakes area on May 6, 2021, but didn’t return home, according to investigators. He was reported missing on May 7, 2021.

Search crews first found Burleigh’s car on May 8, 2021, but could not find any other clues that could possibly point them to his whereabouts.

His vehicle was found in close proximity to Twin Lakes, near a lower trailhead.

According to CNN, “Search teams have been looking for the man since then and even left packages of food on the trails in hopes he would find them.” An example of these packages of food can be seen in the additional images.
