Case Details

At the time Donald Buchanan went missing on August 11, 1988, he was dying of cancer. His health condition eventually led authorities to believe he had committed suicide. Buchanan was hiking at Half Dome at the time of his disappearance. Search teams had come across a campfire that they believed he had made; they also found his wallet, and false teeth, but Buchanan was never found.
