66-year-old David Jolly was found safe Wednesday morning, October 14, 2020 in the Blodgett Peak area.

Jolly got lost on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 and search teams had continued their search for the missing 66-year-old hiker on Wednesday, October 14.

The department said David Jolly went for a hike around Tuesday afternoon when his daughter said she received a call from him saying he was lost on Blodgett Peak. His daughter was able to keep in contact with him until midnight but has not spoken to him since.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department and El Paso County Search and Rescue assisted the department in the search until 1:35a Wednesday. The police department said agencies resumed search efforts at 7a that same day.

Jolly was described as a white man who is 6’0″ tall, gray hair, and a gray beard. He was last seen wearing a red plaid shirt, jeans and white shoes.
