About Daniel Coog Stevenson's case

According to The Journal, Little is known about a Mancos local that law enforcement officially reported as missing in December. Daniel Coog Stevenson, 38, was reportedly last seen by friends or family members at a residence near Mancos Hill in May 2020. Stevenson was declared missing and entered into the National Crime Information Center and Colorado Crime Information Center databases on December 4, 2020. The Montezuma County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in gathering information on Stevenson and his whereabouts. “If anybody knows this individual and has seen him at any time since May of last year, please get a hold of us,” said Montezuma County Sheriff Steve Nowlin. According to Nowlin, Stevenson is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Stevenson lived alone on a property along U.S. Route 160 near Mesa Verde National Park. He might have worked intermittently as a laborer or mechanic. He has multiple siblings in the region and elsewhere. Stevenson had no history of run-ins with law enforcement and was not on welfare. He was issued a driver’s license in 1997 that has since expired. The Sheriff’s Office searched the entirety of his property this week, but did not come across anything that advanced their investigation. “It’s a big mystery,” Nowlin said. “Don’t know where he’s at. Sometimes people just take off. We can’t show that there’s been any foul play whatsoever.” Stevenson’s family was unable to provide a recent picture of him.
