About Corbin McMillen's case

According to source,

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The man found dead in Zion National Park on Friday afternoon, February 19, 2021 has been identified as 42-year-old Corbin McMillen, a resident of St. George, the National Parks Service confirmed on Monday, February 22, 2021. McMillen’s unoccupied vehicle was found parked at the Grotto Trailhead on Thursday February 18, 2021.

He was reported missing by his mother, who told park rangers he’d left Thursday morning to go hike Angels Landing. A formal search for McMillen began Friday after rangers confirmed his vehicle was still parked unoccupied at the Grotto. The 42-year-old’s body was located at the base of Moonlight Buttress, officials stated, the summit of which is located on the West Rim Trail near Angels Landing. McMillen’s injuries were consistent with a high-elevation fall, officials stated, possibly from the summit of Moonlight Buttress.

The investigation into McMillen’s death is ongoing with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Parks officials offered condolences to McMillen’s family, noting they were “deeply saddened by this outcome.”
