According to the NPS,

On Friday, September 17, 2021, at approximately 8:18a, search and rescue personnel located Clifton “Cliff” Beck near Roosevelt Point on the North Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. At this time, Beck is in stable condition and is being treated and transported to the North Rim developed area by EMS personnel.

Cliff Beck of Mount Airy, Maryland was reported as overdue on September 14. Beck obtained a backcountry permit to spend two nights on the Walhalla Plateau from September 10-12.

From September 15-17, rangers conducted a comprehensive search of the Walhalla plateau using ground teams, helicopter flights, and a fixed wing aircraft.
