The team conducts monthly training and responds to rescue calls throughout Ontario County and beyond. The team is highly trained and skilled in several areas of technical rescue, and responds to an average of 7 high-angle rescues each year. Officially sanctioned by the Ontario County Office of Emergency Management, team itself is unfunded, and relies on members’ individual departments to provide the necessary training and equipment. Each department across the county has its own “cache” of rescue equipment that is available to any department that requests the team’s response.
