According to FOX26NEWS,
The National Park Service reported a hiker is missing in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
Matthew Thoke was last seen on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at about 1p leaving the High Sierra Trail approximately 3 miles east of the Crescent Meadow trailhead, just east of Panther Creek.
Thoke split from his group and was hiking towards Crescent Meadow when he walked off trail, downhill to the south, without his black overnight backpack.
He is 6' tall, 190 lbs., and has brown hair and brown eyes.
If you believe you may have seen Matthew Thoke, or if you hiked along the High Sierra Trail between Kaweah Gap and Crescent Meadow between Wednesday and Thursday, regardless of seeing him, please contact Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks Dispatch at (888) 677-2746 or by email SEKI_Dispatch@nps.gov.
