About Joshua Jacobsen's case

Joshua Jacobsen was thought to have entered Badlands National Park on July 12, 2015, and he was reported missing on July 16. On July 17, his vehicle was found at the Sage Creek Campground in Badlands National park.

The search for Jacobsen was called off in August, but was later continued on September 15, 2015 when hikers found his backpack near the Sage Creek Wilderness Area. The next day, September 16, his body was found.

An autopsy was done on Jacobsen, and there were no signs of trauma, ruling out foul play. The cause of his death remains to be unknown.
