Missing NPF is attempting to acquire several elements of information concerning this case. We will update this case file once more information is received and vetted.
Shirley has been missing since July 2020. She is thought to have had with her brown sunglasses, reading glasses, and a cellphone - the cellphone is not a "smartphone." According to numerous sources, Search and Rescue teams have devoted over 3,000 hours searching the Snoqualmie River Middle Fork area of North Bend. Crews reportedly found Baumann’s car, though various sources indicate that this is not the case, since she was dropped off at the location where her hike began. Dogs were reportedly able to pick up her scent on the trail and near her campsite; her camping gear was discovered, but there was no sign of Shirley.

The bit about her having a car is incorrect as she has never driven nor owned a vehicle
It makes sense to me that her car would be there. She probably had someone drive it there so it would be there when she was ready to leave. That person could have gotten into the car Shirley was given a ride in, or the car was dropped off at a different time.
