on June 27, 2021, at 4:49p, State Police responded to the National Parks Service Station in the Town of Lumberland for a report of a missing swimmer in the Delaware.
Police said Michael Cammett, 24, of North Arlington, New Jersey was rafting with friends in an inflatable raft.
They entered the river at about 3p in two rafts that were tethered together.
Cammett jumped into the river and did not resurface.
A search of the river by local firefighters, constables, national park rangers and a State Police Underwater Recovery Unit searched the river. Cammett’s bod was recovered by the State Police.
The cause of the drowning is under investigation.
