The remains of Mr. Naterer seem to have been located in the place where search and rescue teams originally believed he was. That so, he was not located in United States federally managed land; however, we will not delist this case.
Among the reasons why Missing NPF is listing this case is due to the plausibility that Mr. Naterer took the Frosty Mountain Trailhead, traveled south to Frosty Mountain and continued South into the northern boundary of the United States, near Castle Peak.
This possibility has been unofficially verified by the discovery of Mr. Naterer's off-trail footprints, the identification of his white hat and Oakley brand sunglasses in an area south of "Frosty Peak," which Missing NPF understands to be, "Frosty Mountain."
Connected Parks and last known locations are assumptions, and should not be considered fact until verified. When Missing NPF lists a case in this manner, we are extending the possibility that the person is within short traveling distance to federally-managed land.
According to The Vancouver Police Department, Vancouver – Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 25-year-old man who may have gone hiking in Manning Park, and was reported missing on October 13, 2020. Jordan Naterer was last seen on October 10 at 7 a.m., leaving his Downtown apartment at Seymour and Nelson streets. Mr. Naterer’s black 2016 Honda Civic with BC license plate LA248W has been located at the Frosty Mountain Trailhead by the Lightening Lake Day Use area. Mr. Naterer is white with fair skin, five feet ten inches tall, has a slim build, and has short brown hair. He was last seen wearing black pants and white running shoes. He was carrying a large green backpack. Mr. Naterer was expected to be at a Thanksgiving dinner on Monday evening and did not attend. Those close to him are deeply concerned as his absence is out of character. Anyone who sees Jordan Naterer is asked to call 9-1-1 and stay with him until police arrive.

We have disconnected the park information from the case file, since Mr. Naterer was located in Canada, but we will continue to keep this case file listed in our database.
