Much is still uncertain surrounding the disappearance of Christine Cummings, but a few facts remain unaltered. Apparently, Christine was party to a divorce proceeding, she used Bumble to make friends online, and she was an avid hiker, frequenting locations such as Rocky Mountain National Park and others mentioned in our database listing.
She was last seen on/about December 29, 2020, even though co-workers of Christine and friends last report seeing/speaking with her the day before. A concerned family member reported Christine missing on January 1, 2021, and friends and family believe Christine may have gone hiking. Detective Chenoweth is handling the case for the Fort Collins Police Department.
As of January 4, 2021 at 10:58p, no official notification had been released by the National Park Service (NPS) or Rocky Mountain National Park. Of particular interest to Missing NPF, is a social media report from a friend of Christine’s on social app, Bumble, that momentarily displayed Christine’s location. In this report, Christine’s friend indicated that Christine’s location was showing “Fort Collins” with no approximate distance until around 10:20a on January 4, 2021. Heading south from Laporte, Colorado, Christine’s friend indicated that the app started to show a location ~5 miles away and, as Christine’s friend continued driving south on that road, that distance had become ~3 miles (near the intersection of West Vine Dr. and North Taft Hill). Her friend reported calling Christine during this time, there was no answer. Her phone went back to displaying “Fort Collins” shortly after that call.
Christine was 32 years old, nearly 5’6, weighed roughly 120 lbs, had blue and green eyes, and brown hair.
She loves the outdoors and there is fear she may be outside somewhere and need help. She is an avid hiker/camper and some of her close friends believe she may have gone hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park or possibly Rabbit Mountain Open Space near Boulder. She drives a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with EOL in the license plate. We don't have any details about what she may have been wearing, but if anyone remembers seeing her out on the trails (or anywhere else) or has seen her Jeep parked at a trailhead, along the road, or elsewhere, please contact the Fort Collins Police Department at 970-221-6540. Christine drives a 2015 Black Jeep SUV, license plate EOL263.

1/6/21 Update: 7:07a – We have placed a call to Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, and the Public Information Officer was able to confirm that Larimer County is involved in a search and rescue effort. At this time, LCSO is unable to confirm in which area they are searching and for whom. They indicated that this is a Fort Collins Police Services (FCPS) investigation; we will release newer information as it becomes available.
We placed a call to FCPS, and a detective will be calling us back with more information. We have changed location details for Christine’s record to reflect Arapaho & Roosevelt National Forest, with a last known location of Poudre Canyon. A Sergeant from the FCPS returned our call at 8:20a PST, indicating that SAR is on-site and that other details can be provided by LCSO.
